Women Empowering Women
Eat, Pray, Shop is a social women's networking group that empowers, equips and educates women to grow, learn and move forward with their dreams and visions. Empowering women is our motto, becoming the best you is our mission. Eat Pray & Shop was established in 2017, after I came off my job… well, after the Lord called me off my job. I came to the Kennedy Austin Foundation not knowing what to expect working for a nonprofit organization. After I was there for about a month Ethel Gardner told me (not asked---told me) that she wanted me to take over a group called “Turning your Pain into Passion.“ I was very reluctant to do so, but I did. For one year I was really unaware of what to do with these ladies, all six of them, and what to say. After speaking to some family and friends and just listening to what they were going through and what God was telling me, I realized that I had a bigger calling and responsibility to put the pieces together. After thinking, praying, crying and wondering, Eat Pray & Shop was born. It is where we take our greatest pain and turn it into a Passion.
We meet every first Saturday each month at the Kennedy Austin Foundation offices at 1460 E Holt Ave., Ste. 182, in Pomona, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. When we get together it is powerful! We have speakers, ordinary women who have been through some form of pain and turned it into a passion, and we learned that all pain is not created equal.
We have vendors for the shopping element, we serve lunch, and at the end of it all we pray for each other. God always shows up and meets the needs of the ladies. The ladies range from ages 21 to about 100 years of age, so if that is you and you want to come and experience the joy of sisterhood in its real and true form we are looking for you.
